Shanebellinger.com is getting re designed again. I thought it was time for a new look. I will be playing around with different themes, and modifying them until I achieve the look that I want. Ill post an update when I find the style that I will keep.

I’ve been trying to post a few templates to Movable Type. Mostly, they were by Ainslie Johnson, from Webgazette.co.uk. I’ve been doing this at my Test Site on Officiallyshane.org. It has not been working out that good. I did get the Jigg Template to work. I’m not sure If I’m going to actually use these on my site, but I might. I’ve been having some difficulty with the Ebony Template. The sidebar is not working properly. I’ll have to work more on it, and see what I can do. I hope I can fix it, because eventually, I’d like to use it on officiallyshane.org, or another blog on that site.

I’m not working too much on porting the templates. I’ve done it before, and my site does not need a re design right now.

My main priority right now is to update my Templates. I’m going to try and make them better, and add more features. I’m also going to try to do commercial templates, Movable Type themes, and WordPress themes, like I’ve been saying for the past few months. I’ll try to get my templates updated to version 1.1, before making any more templates.

I have now completed Polkadot Pink&&Red 1.0. I am satisfied with it. It’s another simple theme, just like The Dark Side, but has a little bit more detail. It’s colours are a few different shades of red. It’s more of a ‘feminin’ style template. It’s great for personal sites, and blogs. It has a buit in stylesheet. It has only one background image. The zip file should contain only two files: index.htm, the HTML file, and an image which is the background image.An updated working preview of this template can be found here. I have started on another quite simple website template called Polkadot Pink&&Red. It’s another simple template, except this one has a stylesheet, and a background image. It’s a few different shades of red. A Preview of this template (unfinished) can be found here. This template is being used on my sister’s personal site, too. It can be found here. This template would be good for personal blogs, pet sites, and sites related valentine’s day (because of the pink, red and white theme to it). I’m sure someone would find use for this template.After it’s released, I will start a professional website template, like I was talking about doing in my other post. I want to come up with a good idea for it first. I don’t know if I’ll have time to do it anytime soon, with school, and preparations for the holidays. I’ll try to get it done soon. I’m sure by January it will be released. In that time, I’ll probably quickly make up some more simple templates like ‘The Dark Side‘, or ‘Polkadot Pink&&Red‘. I will try!

I have started a new template. It’s very floral. It’s called Roses-roses-everywhere. It features a very rosy theme, and has lots of reds and soft pinks, yellows, and purples. Right now I’m doing the layout cells, and the main images for the template. I hope to release it sometime during the week. I’m sure I can get it done, really fast. I will try to make this template look really good. I’m also planning on removing a couple of my existing templates, because they are very boring, and they don’t have a nice look to them. I’ll have to do some more thinking on this.

I can’t wait to have my rose template released. It’s looking great, so far. I think this is a really good one, one of the best ones I’ve ever made. The images of the flowers that I’m using in the design is royalty free stock images, that are freely licensed. I found them from a few different places, one of my most favourite places to find stock photos, is Free foto. They offer a huge selection of high resolution images, that are all royalty free. I have a few other places that I really like, too, but I can’t seem to think of their names. I use most of my images on my web design projects, from Free Foto.

I hope to get a working example of my template out, soon, to have a preview. It will just take me a few more days, to complete this project.

Before I release ‘Expressions 1.1′, the second in my ‘Expressions Template Series’, I want to make a nice looking personal template. I’m still deciding what I should call it, and what the basic look will be, and if I should add any extra features to it. I’m not quite sure what ‘Theme’ I want to design it on, either. I’m not sure if it should be floral, summer, fall, or a winter theme. I want to make it look really good, before I release it.

I will have to get back to you, on this one.

My new template ‘Expressions 1.0′ is nearly complete. I just have to put the finishing touches on it. It’s looking really good, so far. I can’t wait to get it released! I have been working really hard on this new template, so it’s only going to take me one more day to complete it. This weekend, we are going to be busy I know that we will be going out. I have to get a wireless card for my computer. I also need to clean up, today. The weekend is going to be really hot. It is going to be like 30°C, with humidex factors, so it’s going to be really hot. We don’t yet have air conditioning, because our house is new. I do have a ceiling fan in my room, and it seems to keep my room at a comfortable tempurature. We will be getting central ai, next year, when the construction around us is finally done.

Clean out my Closet.

Finish ‘Expressions 1.0′

Help Clean up.

Tidy up my bedroom.

Do anything else that needs to be done.

Updates on Saturday

Well, we were out pretty much all day long, and we just got back home. We were supposed to go to a few other stores, today, but they were closed when we got there. I was supposed to get a wireless network access card, for my PC. I’m going to have to get it, tomorrow. We will go earlier, before the stores close.

We also have to go a few other place, tomorrow.
