Shanebellinger.com is getting re designed again. I thought it was time for a new look. I will be playing around with different themes, and modifying them until I achieve the look that I want. Ill post an update when I find the style that I will keep.

I have had my Shiny new MacBook for two days now, and I love it. I had orginally said it was the base model, but I actually have an upgraded model now, and I’m glad I do. It’s the 2.16 GHz in White. I really like the computer, and it has a very attractive design.
I am still getting used to the Mac, and I’m still installing software on it. Unfortunately, I can’t install some of the web design software I use becuase it is not compatible with Macs, and it is too old. Sometime, I’m going to get a Mac Version of the Adobe Dreamweaver software, along with Photoshop for mac and some other software.
For now, I will use my PC to do design work. My Mac will be used for design work when I get the right software for it. I do have a lot more to install, I currently have Office 2004 Student Edition installed on my Mac.
My Mac will be perfect for ALL School Work, Homework and presentations. It’s soooo much faster compared to my PC, which I really like.
I am so happy I got the Mac. I still have some learning to do, but It’s excellent so far!
I want to post some reviews on the Mac within the next few weeks. It’s back to school on Tuesday, and I will probably be quite busy. I will actually be looking forward to homework and presentations, because I’ll do it on my New Mac. I also got a new HP colour printer to go with my new system. I have a newer HP lazer printer aswell. I am all ready for back to school!

I am using my Mac to write this, too, I like the Safari Browser a lot too.
One thing that I already found with the Mac is that it does get really hot. I found that SMC Fan Control made a huge difference. The temperature dropped a lot after I increased the fan speed from 1,800 rpms to 6,200 rpms. I only put it to the max speed if it gets really hot though, just to save battery power, if I don’t have it plugged in.

I can’t believe it’s already heading into late August! It’s almost back to school! I am kind of looking forward to it, and kind of not, but I know it will be a good year. I am busy working on a big web project for one of my clients. That is why I have not been posting lately. I am also going to be working EXREMELY hard on it this week, and for a little bit next week because I have to have the project completed by the 31st.
Everything else is going well, sometime this week in the evening after I’m finished working on my web project for the day, I’m going to go back to school shopping. I need to buy the usual school supplies. I don’t think it will take too long.
Before or a little bit after I start school, I’m getting a new computer! I have decided on a White 13″ MacBook! I am really looking forward to getting it! My computer I have is still perfectly good, but I really want a laptop, so that’s what I’m getting. I’m still going to use my current computer for some things, including some design work. School work, reports and other things will probably be done on my Mac. I’m also going to get an iPod too, something that I’ve been meaning to get for a long time now.
I have been quite busy, so I have not had the opportunity to post lately. The summer is going quite well. It’s very warm, and it is supposed to get warmer. We are not doing too much right now, but I’m still enjoying the summer.
We just recently drove to Montreal, Canada from Ottawa, and we went to the Biodome de Montreal. It was okay, but it was very busy when we went. I had wanted to go to the Botanical Gardens section to take pictures of the flowers, and plants, but it would have taken too long, and it was already getting late. I have posted a few pictures I took in Montral and at the Biodome on Officiallyshane.org.
We are not doing too much now, but we will when my relatives from Dallas comes. They are coming next week. I know we will do more then.
Right now, I’m just starting a new web project for a company called Biokinetics and Associates, LTD. I am going to do a full design of their site. It will take a few weeks. They are my Third Client.

As some of you know, I run a little design company- BlueSummerSkies Design. It really began in 2005. I did some work in March for a small birthday site. It was very small, not a lot of work to be done. I am now doing some work for a small jewelry company. The site is going to hopefully be online soon. Check out my Portfolio.
Next, in a few weeks or so, I will be starting on a site for a company called Biokinetics. I will be re designing their entire site, and doing a new company logo for them, and I’m really looking forward to it!
Next after that, in a little while, I might have another client to do work for, because they are thinking of opening a buisiness.
Here at my site, I’ve got a new design from Beccary, and I have already started customizing it. I will be done in a few months. Things might look wierd here for a while, but I’m working on things!

This weekend my family gave me a little Birthday Party. It was really fun. Not all of my family could come, because they were gone on Vacations. I got great gifts- Money!! 
I got a lot of money! I want to get another computer- a laptop one that I really am happy with. I’m not sure if I want a Mac, or a Windows, but I have a while yet before I make a purchase.
I also got a cool new HP lazer printer. I really love it. It prints really fast- unlike my old one which was an ink jet, and would only print up to two or three sheets a minute. I do a lot of printing for School and other stuff, so I want it to be fast. I now have a good Printer and I like it.
Yesterday, I posted about my Webhosting Service at BlueSummerSkies Design. It unfortuately did not work out. I don’t think My webhost supported Wordpress MU software. The webhost I’m using for this site does, but I don’t want to make my personal blog a webhosting service.
That is about all for now! I’m still looking in to what Laptop I should get. I can’t wait to actually get a nice new one! 
I’ve been trying to post a few templates to Movable Type. Mostly, they were by Ainslie Johnson, from Webgazette.co.uk. I’ve been doing this at my Test Site on Officiallyshane.org. It has not been working out that good. I did get the Jigg Template to work. I’m not sure If I’m going to actually use these on my site, but I might. I’ve been having some difficulty with the Ebony Template. The sidebar is not working properly. I’ll have to work more on it, and see what I can do. I hope I can fix it, because eventually, I’d like to use it on officiallyshane.org, or another blog on that site.
I’m not working too much on porting the templates. I’ve done it before, and my site does not need a re design right now.
My main priority right now is to update my Templates. I’m going to try and make them better, and add more features. I’m also going to try to do commercial templates, Movable Type themes, and WordPress themes, like I’ve been saying for the past few months. I’ll try to get my templates updated to version 1.1, before making any more templates.

About two days ago, Shane Bellinger Web Design (my web design site) recived a complete overhaul. It has been optimized to work in Internet Explorer, and is also now full span, so it fits browser screens perfectly. It now works best with Internet Explorer, and the Opera browsers. The menu bar also works better with the new design. I’m quite happy with this design. Please have a look at my site, and let me know what you think. I have just about finished my new linkware template. I have to make just a few changes to it, otherwise, it’s just about complete. I will hope to have it out by Monday, so I will finish it up, today, and tomorrow.
My template looks great, so far!! I have started a new template. It’s very floral. It’s called Roses-roses-everywhere. It features a very rosy theme, and has lots of reds and soft pinks, yellows, and purples. Right now I’m doing the layout cells, and the main images for the template. I hope to release it sometime during the week. I’m sure I can get it done, really fast. I will try to make this template look really good. I’m also planning on removing a couple of my existing templates, because they are very boring, and they don’t have a nice look to them. I’ll have to do some more thinking on this.
I can’t wait to have my rose template released. It’s looking great, so far. I think this is a really good one, one of the best ones I’ve ever made. The images of the flowers that I’m using in the design is royalty free stock images, that are freely licensed. I found them from a few different places, one of my most favourite places to find stock photos, is Free foto. They offer a huge selection of high resolution images, that are all royalty free. I have a few other places that I really like, too, but I can’t seem to think of their names. I use most of my images on my web design projects, from Free Foto.
I hope to get a working example of my template out, soon, to have a preview. It will just take me a few more days, to complete this project.
Before I release ‘Expressions 1.1′, the second in my ‘Expressions Template Series’, I want to make a nice looking personal template. I’m still deciding what I should call it, and what the basic look will be, and if I should add any extra features to it. I’m not quite sure what ‘Theme’ I want to design it on, either. I’m not sure if it should be floral, summer, fall, or a winter theme. I want to make it look really good, before I release it.
I will have to get back to you, on this one.
My new template ‘Expressions 1.0′ is nearly complete. I just have to put the finishing touches on it. It’s looking really good, so far. I can’t wait to get it released! I have been working really hard on this new template, so it’s only going to take me one more day to complete it. This weekend, we are going to be busy I know that we will be going out. I have to get a wireless card for my computer. I also need to clean up, today. The weekend is going to be really hot. It is going to be like 30°C, with humidex factors, so it’s going to be really hot. We don’t yet have air conditioning, because our house is new. I do have a ceiling fan in my room, and it seems to keep my room at a comfortable tempurature. We will be getting central ai, next year, when the construction around us is finally done.

Well, we were out pretty much all day long, and we just got back home. We were supposed to go to a few other stores, today, but they were closed when we got there. I was supposed to get a wireless network access card, for my PC. I’m going to have to get it, tomorrow. We will go earlier, before the stores close.

I have started a new webset to offer as a linkware on my Web Design Site. It is the first of a new series, that I have called the ‘Expressions Series’ I have started the first of the series, Expressions 1.0. It has very vibrant, and expressive colours in it. I am doing the base design with Macromedia Dreamweaver. I did most of the graphics with Macromedia Fireworks, and Macromedia Freehand, the same thing I used to design most of my other websets, and my entire Design site, exept on my web design site, and some of my other websets, I added some Flash content. I think the designing process of this new template, will be just a few more days, and then I can offer it to download. By the looks of things, I think that I have had some downloads, because I’m getting quite a lot of hits. I hope eventually to clean up my download section, and offer only really nice templates, because I only really like a few of them. I also like the one I’m designing right now. It’s turining out really good.
I totally re-did the nav system on my Design site. It took quite a while to do it. I ran into a few code problems, but of course, I fixed them. The nav system is a fancy drop-down menu bar. I like those types of nav systems better than just a side bar full of links, or a nav bar. I got the base codes for the menu at Dynamic Drive. Dynamic drive is a great site for nav systems, other web stuff, and cool codes, that do really neat things. I’m very pleased with my new menu system!
